The Resalist is a small handmade resin and varmala preservation studio in Kolkata, run by its two founders, Rishita and Priyal. The studio is at Ideal Grand, Howrah, 711102, West Bengal.

This website is a catalogue, not a shop. There is no cart and no online payment: nothing is bought on the website itself.

• Every “Order” button opens WhatsApp with a message already written. You can also write to us through the contact form.
• In the chat we agree the design, the size, the price and how long it will take.
• Your order is confirmed once we have received the 50% advance.

Prices on this site are starting prices, shown as “from”. The final price depends on the size and on how much the piece is customised, and we confirm it with you before you pay anything. Pieces marked “Made to order” are priced in the chat.

Shipping is charged by parcel size. We tell you the cost in the chat.

50% of the agreed price is paid in advance, so that we can begin. The remaining 50% is paid before your order is dispatched. We share payment details on WhatsApp.

We will never ask you for a card number, a PIN or a one-time password.

Every piece is made by hand, after you order it, so no two are exactly alike. Small differences from the photographs on this site, in colour, in pattern or in the way flowers and gold flakes settle in the resin, are part of a handmade piece rather than a fault.

• Flowers. Natural flowers change colour as they dry. The sooner a varmala reaches us after the wedding, the more of its colour survives.
• Colours. A shade we mix to match something you send comes very close, but may not be exact.
• Your approval. For varmala frames and other custom work, we share the layout with you and wait for your approval before anything is set in resin.

Flowers, photographs, fabric and anything else you send for your piece are used to make it. Please send only photographs you have the right to use.

We sometimes photograph finished pieces for this website and our Instagram. If you would rather we did not show yours, tell us when you order. A message from you is shown as a review only if you say we may. See the privacy policy for how we look after your details.

The advance is not refundable once paid, and because every piece is made to order we do not take returns if you change your mind. A piece that arrives damaged, or is not what we agreed, is repaired or made again if you tell us within 48 hours of delivery. The full details are in our cancellation and refund policy.

The photographs, designs and words on this website belong to The Resalist. Please do not copy them or use them elsewhere without asking us first. Sharing a link to a page is always welcome.

We take care with every order. If something goes wrong, tell us and we will try to put it right, as our cancellation and refund policy describes. We cannot be responsible for delays caused by courier companies or by events outside our control.

Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have under Indian consumer law.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a disagreement cannot be settled by talking it through with us, it will be decided by the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal.

We may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown here on the day it was confirmed.
